Jackie is a life-long writer. She is the indie author of two poetry books, Life Forces a Journey (2001) and Hitting Bone (2004).
Both books are part of the Tretter Collection in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Studies, the largest collection of LGBTQ+ history in the Midwest, located in the Elmer L. Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN.
Her upcoming publication, Losing Katy: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Living Grief, will be out the summer of 2025.
Jackie's writing has always been personal in nature and carries with it the hope of helping others, bringing a sense of connection and understanding in situations where it is easy to feel alone and misunderstood.
Originally from Wisconsin, she moved to the Minneapolis, MN area 40 years ago. She now lives on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior.
